Kendrick Lamar creates big hype for new album release
April 10, 2017
Kendrick Lamar teased listeners when releasing single “The Heart Part 4,” claiming his new album could be released April 7. This news proved not to be true, but he did in fact release a pre-order for his album both on iTunes and Spotify. The date is set at April 14 for the release of “ALBUM,” and hopefully Lamar does not ‘Drake’ the release date.
Lamar is keeping fans’ anticipations high for “ALBUM.” In his pre-release, 14 tracks are shown, and the song “HUMBLE.” is the only name revealed. All other songs are labeled “TRACK 1,” “TRACK 2,” all the way up to 14. Sources say that his new album will not actually be named “ALBUM”, but as of right now, that is the only information Lamar has given fans. One song name and a list of tracks.
Last year, Lamar released “untitled unmastered.” This project featured songs which were previously performed on various talk shows over the span of three years (2013-2016). The song names have dates in which the songs were first made. The compilation album was released March 4, 2016 by Top Dawg Entertainment, Aftermath and Interscope Records.
Lamar has been noted as being “a child of God in the rap world,” and his newest album is having fans sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for the release. Lamar never seems to disappoint considering his last full album, “To Pimp A Butterfly,” won a Grammy award for the Best Rap Album in 2016.
If you have not yet listened to the Grammy-winning rapper, I highly suggest you hop on the K-Dot train and be blessed by his beats and lyrics.
