As another school year comes to a close, seniors start to prepare for the beginning of their next journey. But, before they leave, they celebrate their graduation by throwing a graduation party. Friends and family come together to celebrate the soon-to-be high school graduate by looking at photos and enjoying some delicious food. However, it takes more than some may think to plan a party, so here are some key tips on how to throw the best grad party ever.

First and foremost, the food is the most important detail of the whole party. People think long and hard about what they want to serve, whether it is sandwiches with fruit and chips, a dessert bar or catering in Qdoba or Buffalo Wild Wings. Whatever option is chosen, one important thing to note is: remember to order enough food. In fact, order more than enough because nobody wants their guests to leave with an empty stomach. For some, the food is what they look forward to the most, so having an appetizing menu that people will love is the first key to success.

Aside from the food, the display tables are also a very important part of a graduation party. Many people tend to set out some of their accomplishments, such as academic letters, trophies, other awards and even dance costumes. Another large part of grad parties are pictures, and there are various ways to display their favorite moments. Some people put pictures on a poster board while others have string and clothespin them around the room. No matter how the pictures are displayed, they make for good laughs as friends and family look back on some great memories.

Other details to think about include center pieces for the tables and other decorations that can add to the party. There are endless ideas for centerpieces. Some people have used balloons, others have picture stands and some people channel their inner artist and try to make a DIY centerpiece. The decorations do not have to match your school colors either, so have fun with it. If you want pastel pink and gold, go for it. If you want red and blue to represent the LHS Patriots, then do that. Either option works and adds to making the party a success.

Food, table displays, picture walls and centerpieces, oh my. All of these items go into making a grad party, and although it may seem a little stressful, they allow everyone to make their party unique. In the end, no matter what food is served or centerpiece is used, just follow these tips and your grad party will be the best one ever.
