This week, as President Trump was not focusing on NFL players kneeling, he uninvited the 2017 NBA Champions Golden State Warriors to the White House via Twitter.

It is a tradition for the championship team of the four major professional sports: the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB to visit the president at the White House to be honored. President Trump tweeted at the Warriors to tell them that were not welcome at the White House anymore.

“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn,” said the tweet from President Trump.

Curry and many other professional athletes voiced their opinions and fired back at President Trump.

“It’s surreal, to be honest. I don’t know why he feels the need to target certain individuals rather than others,” said Curry. “I have an idea of why, but it’s kind of beneath a leader of a country to go that route. That’s not what leaders do.”

None of the athletes who fired back at President Trump are more well-known then Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

“Stephen Curry already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite,” said James’ tweet. ”Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!”

The Warriors were already planning on not attending the event, but now are going to use their visit to Washington, D.C. to help the community. The Warriors released a statement saying that they are going to use their visit to the nation’s capital to celebrate things such as diversity, equality and inclusion.
