COMEBACK$ZN
January 30, 2018
Coming out of college, Johnny Manziel was one of the most highly sought after draft prospects. He had just won the Heisman and almost brought Texas A&M to a national championship. Not to mention he threw for a total of 7,820 yards in his two year career as an Aggie, but what happened to him once he was drafted?
The Browns selected Manziel in the first round, hoping to shape him into a franchise quarterback. The Manziel pick did not work out as planned. He played a total of 14 games for the Browns over a span of two seasons. To be frank, Manziel was a huge bust.
Manziel was cut from the Browns heading into the 2016 season. For awhile Manziel was quiet. Many thought Manziel went to rehab for drug abuse, but recently Manziel has been posting videos of him working out on Instagram. His posts include him training with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., and lifting weights. All of his posts have one thing in common, Manziel uses the hashtag #COMEBACK$ZN.
Manziel has also began selling merchandise with the the hashtag. Many fans believe he could be making his come back to the league very soon. With many teams looking for a quarterback in the offseason it could be very likely that Manziel could find a new home. Another option for Manziel would to be to go to the CFL.
If the comeback is for real the NFL could be in for a huge surprise next season. Hopefully, Manziel returns to his former college playing style because he has a lot of people to prove wrong.
