How hard is it to start a diet?

Scrolling through the explore page on Instagram, which mainly consists of girls living their best lives in tropical warm areas, will 10/10 make you want to move somewhere warm and start working out to get a perfect body. But, just about everyday I say “I’ll start eating healthy tomorrow” out loud while I devour chocolate cake.
Starting to eat healthy is one of the hardest things, especially if your family is like mine and buys tons of junk food. I like to think all the snacks, ice cream and chocolate in my pantry are the sole reason I always fail to start a diet. However, I can’t just blame it on the food that is in my pantry, but also to the fact that I go out to eat just about every other day. So, even if my family didn’t buy all that junk food, I admit that I would most likely still fail at eating healthy.
Chocolate chip cookies or carrots and ranch? In my opinion that is a no brainer. Of course, I’m eating the chocolate chip cookies. I probably wouldn’t have even thought of eating the carrots.
The feeling after eating excessive amounts of high calorie snacks is not the best. I mean, yes, eating it was great, but afterwards you feel gross. I always think to myself, was the extra cookie worth it? But, of course, the extra cookie is always worth it.
I do know people who stick to eating healthy and cutting out sweets, so of course it isn’t impossible, but for me I think it just might be.
