ACT postponed

The spring ACT has been postponed due to the winter weather conditions. All South Dakota schools that were planning to have the ACT last Saturday have now rescheduled it to a later date.

All day Friday (the day before the ACT), LHS was filled with conflicting views on whether they wanted the test to be postponed or not. Many students think that there are both pros and cons of the postponement.

Junior, Griffen Westra was not all that upset about the test being postponed. Westra spent his Saturday morning sleeping in and later drifting in the fresh snow, instead of taking the ACT.

Since the test has been rescheduled to a later date, it has given students an opportunity to better prepare themselves for the test.

“I’m not really sure if I was prepared for the test or not, but I probably wasn’t,” said Westra.

On the other hand, junior Olivia Engels wanted to take the test last Saturday. She adjusted her schedule and had already taken off work. She had been studying all week and was ready to get it done.

“I was ready to take the test, but one beneficial point is now I have extra time to study,” said Engels.

The new date of the test is this Saturday, April 21st. To find out more information, go check out; https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/registration/test-center-locator.html
