The time has come where millions of people from all over the country begin to spend their Monday nights gathered around the TV to watch 28 men fight for one woman’s heart. A show that is a guilty pleasure for most Americans no matter how hard they try to avoid it. It is “Bachelorette” season.

After one of the most gut-wrenching breakups in “Bachelor” history, bachelorette Becca Kufrin is ready for her second shot at finding love. The show kicked off on Monday, May 28 which consisted of meeting all the eligible bachelors, picking favorites and making predictions for the rest of the season.

As I was watching the show, I immediately began to make my predictions of who will end up on one knee by the end of the show. An obvious favorite from the start was 26-year-old, former pro-football player and runner of a non-profit organization, Colton. Between his good looks and kind personality, he was an easy favorite from the beginning. Colton was not the only one I was in favor of making it far in the competition. I also came to like Blake (28-year-old sales rep), Ryan (26-year-old banjoist) and first impression rose winner Garrett (29-year-old sales rep). With all their good looks and unique personalities, Becca will have some tough decisions to make this season.

Although there are many eligible bachelors this season, the “Bachelorette” would not be the same without a few outcasts and a whole lot of drama. Every year we end up seeing some sort of costume or a jerk who everyone in the house hates. Becca was surprised to see a man dressed up as a chicken step out of the limo, but the men have to do whatever they can to get noticed. Besides the chicken, my prediction for the 2018 Bachelorette drama king is 26-year-old male model, Jordan. Being a little too involved with himself, I can see a lot of drama coming his way this season.

After watching the preview for the rest of the season, I could not be more excited to watch every Monday. The seasons consists of tears, laughs and a little bit of bleeding and is predicted to be one of the most dramatic seasons ever.

“I told myself that I was not going to watch the Bachelorette this season, but I was just playing myself,” said LHS junior Lexi Barbush. “I got sucked in right away, and I am already picking all of my favorites. I like Becca a lot, and I am so excited to see how the season turns out.”
