  1. Study, study and study: Studying is very important especially in the summer. It is a proven fact kids who do not study in the summertime get dumber and lose all their useful knowledge.
  2. Go to the library: If someone was to say “study”, they would need books on the subject matter and what better place to get that information then the library? At the library you can study up on math, science and English.
  3. Take an extra school class: Thinking about brushing up on some algebra skills before starting school? Take the class in the summertime. It is a perfect way to keep the mind up to date on how to find x and y and way better than going to the pool.
  4. Read a book: Reading a book can help improve vocabulary skills and grammatical spelling. It helps stimulate the brain and someone can get almost any book from there local library.
  5. Explore local museums and historic sites:  Finding out who the 23 president was and what his dog’s name was sounds like fun, right? Exploring the local Court House Museum and looking at dusty old maps and pictures sounds like a blast to anyone this summer. Who would rather be sitting on a beach when someone could learn about their town?
  6. Get a job at McDonald’s: Instead of going to a Weekend concert get a low paying, awful work environment and disgusting fast food job at McDonald’s.
  7. Go invade a country: How about invading a foreign country for the weeknd? Bombing the local fishing harbor, doing a public execution, or starting a worldwide famine?
  8. Go bankrupt: Saving money to buy the things you really want. Nah. Instead go bankrupt and set all your money on fire. Living on the streets sounds like a lot of fun. Right?
  9. Hang out with your favorite teacher: Hanging out with your best friend sounds lame. Hang out with your teacher instead. It is not like you have seen them almost every single day for the past nine months.
  10. Get arrested: Who would want to stay out of jail? Getting arrested sounds like so much fun! Getting rashioned meals, wearing orange, and having a cell mate sounds like a blast.
