   Due to COVID-19, we have had to drastically change our everyday lives. In order to help stop the spread movie theaters across America have temporarily shut down, along with the shut down of theaters comes the delay of many anticipated movies. 

Universal

“No Time to Die”

 Due to COVID-19, the global theater market has dropped and after careful observation Bond producers Micheal G Wilson and Barbra Broccoli announced that “No Time to Die” will be delayed till November 2020

Warner Bros

“Wonder Woman 1984”

Warner Bros. is postponing Wonder Woman’s return to the big screen, Due to COVID-19. “Wonder Woman 1984” will be released in theaters on Aug. 14 instead of its initial June 5.

Marvel

“Black Widow” 

“Black Widow” was initially scheduled to be released on May 1. There is no new date for the movie. “Black Widow” was supposed to kick off the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and was set to be the first big film in the franchise following “Avengers: Endgame” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.

Sony

“Ghostbusters: Afterlife”

Sony studios this week announced the delay of the upcoming film “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”. It is now pushed back eight months due to COVID-19, moving it from its original release date of July 10 all the way to March 5, 2021.

Paramount pictures 

“Top Gun: Maverick”

Paramount’s “Top Gun: Maverick,” a sequel to Tom Cruise’s 1986 classic, is another summer movie to delay its release date as theaters remain closed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. The anticipated sequel was scheduled to release June 24 and will now be delayed to Dec. 23, 2020.

Disney

“Mulan”

“Mulan,” Disney’s most expensive live-action remake to date, has been officially delayed from release schedules. Due to open on March 27, the film, which is directed by Niki Caro on a $200 million budget, currently has no new release date.

DC studios 

“The Batman”  

“The Batman” was originally supposed to hit theaters on June 25, 2021, but it will now open on Oct. 1, 2021. Many upcoming movies under the DC Comics are shifting to accommodate necessary changes due to the pandemic.

Universal

“Minions: Rise of Gru”

Universal has pushed the release date of Illumination Entertainment’s “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” which was originally meant to open on July 3. There is no new release date.
