It’s a new year full of new goals and aspirations. Many find themselves contemplating who they really are and why they seem so lost compared to other people in this world. The enneagram test is a simple, free test one can take anywhere. While it is a little lengthy, the results can be eye-opening and give great insight into one’s personality. 

Type 1: The Reformer

The reformer is one who knows what is right and what is wrong. They strive for perfection and hold themselves to high standards. Being wrong is not something they wish to experience, and they try to avoid criticism. People known as the reformer strive to do good in this world and their biggest fear is turning evil or becoming unneeded. 

Type 2: The Helper

People classified as the helper are known to be empathetic, warm-hearted and sincere. They are always willing to lend a helping hand and can often get trapped in helping others, so they feel needed. The helper just wants love in return for their actions, as their biggest fear is being unwanted or unloved.

Type 3: The Achiever

As an achiever, you might find yourself very success-oriented and driven. These people are very diplomatic and energetic, causing them to sometimes be overly concerned with their image as their biggest fear is being worthless.

Type 4: The Individualist

The individualist is the quiet more reserved type; however, they are full of creativity.  Type fours can sometimes feel like they can’t relate to others very well, or that their talents are very unique and one of a kind. These people are known to be honest and self-sufficient; however, just like most people, they long for personal significance. 

Type 5: The Investigator

People known as the investigator are commonly described as curious and insightful. They have a love for developing complex skills and ideas; however, they can become high-strung and preoccupied with their thoughts. Because they love investigating new things, their biggest fear is being useless.

Type 6: The Loyalist

The loyalist is known to be hardworking, reliable and trustworthy. Type sixes are ready for any problem to be thrown their way as they are highly prepared for anything because they strive for a sense of security. The loyalist’s biggest fears are being thrown into the unknown and being without support. These people are very loyal and will stick with their friends for life. 

Type 7: The Enthusiast

People known as enthusiasts are known to be very outgoing and spontaneous. They love adventure and new things that give them excitement. While they love new experiences they can become distracted and easily tired of constantly on the move. Because they love being busy, their biggest fear is missing out on worthwhile experiences.

Type 8: The Challenger

Type eights are self-confident, assertive and resourceful. Challengers are also known to be very charismatic and persuasive. These people love to be in charge and can sometimes become challenging and domineering. The Challenger’s biggest fear is losing control and being controlled by others as they always want to be the one in control.

Type 9: The Peacemaker

Peacemakers live up to their name very well. These people are very easygoing and are usually just along for the ride. They are very creative, optimistic and stable. Because they prefer to avoid conflict, they can often find themselves minimizing anything upsetting and being complacent. The peacemaker’s biggest fear is loss and separation.

By figuring out which number you are, you open up the possibility for growth and improvement in your daily life. Whether you focus on improving your weaknesses or fears or begin to embrace your domineering qualities, getting to know yourself better always provides for a healthier version of yourself.
