With the hype for Valentine’s Day being so extravagant, many couples become stressed about picking out the perfect gift for their significant other. While your significant other may want something personalized to them, here are a few go-to staple gift ideas for Valentine’s Day just about anyone will love.

Starting off with the most obvious gift that will touch anyone’s heart, flowers. Whether it is a bouquet or just a couple wrapped in wrapping paper and tied with a bow, it will leave your partner smiling for the rest of the day. While this is a very traditional gift and may seem outdated to some, flowers will never fail to be a timeless and appreciated Valentine’s day gift. Many also may worry about the raised prices of flowers on Valentine’s Day because they are such a popular gift. Good news! There are many deals available to get around the raised prices. For example, by ordering flowers in advance, some businesses offer lowered prices.

Another staple gift idea is jewelry. While the styles may alter, it is overall a safe option and gorgeous gift your significant other will love. When shopping for jewelry, think about the little things. For example, do they like gold vs silver? Chunky vs dainty? To go over and above, another option would be to find a necklace with some sort of locket and put a picture of the two of you in it. That will have your significant other thinking about you 24/7 when they are wearing it.

If you are on a limited budget and looking for something your significant other will love, candy or one of their favorite treats is a simple, yet enjoyable gift. Sweet or salty, there are many cute food options around Valentine’s Day. For example, the all reds pack of starbursts, heart shaped chocolates or any other red treats. These treats will have your partner joyous about the wholesome holiday.

While shopping for these gifts, keep in mind that as cliche as it sounds, it is often more the thought that counts. It is not the price or extravagance of the present; it is the thought and love behind it that makes the gift perfect and one your significant other will love.
