Looking for a new entertaining reality TV show jam-packed with drama in every episode? For those reality show fanatics, the newest “Too Hot to Handle” and “Married at First Sight,” is “The Ultimatum” hosted by the couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey. After great success with their last show forming healthy relationships, the two decided to create another highly effective show involving marriage with a twist. The Lacheys were spurred to create a show after an ultimatum led to theirhealthy marriage, which has lasted since 2011, the wisdom fromwhich they hope to bestow upon the contestants on their new show.

With this being the first season of “The Ultimatum,” fans were not totally sure what to expect but had high hopes after two successful seasons in the couple’s last show, “Love is Blind.” The show starts out with 12 couples that entered into this crazy experience after one partner issued the other an ultimatum, to either marry them or move on. Theexperiment to find your soulmate begins and the couples immediately start mingling with the other couples. They are able to form new connections with those that were either also issued an ultimatum and are not ready to tie the knot just yet, and those who initiated the ultimatum in hopes of leaving engaged. It is then up to the couples to date a stranger they met in the experience, meaning another one of the contestant’s significant others, which causesa lot of catfights. At the end of the dating period, each person must choose a new partner they have formed a possible connection with before their past relationship changes forever.

In the second and third episodes, couples are finally completely split up from their real significant other in order to experience a trial run with the new person they met within the experiment, living out a trial marriage for the next three weeks. The show is hosted in Austin, Texas where all the couples participating in the show are from and continue to live. Of course over these three weeks, some of these ‘fake’ relationships start to implode while others flourish with their new housemate, questioning everything about their real relationship.

After this period of time, the couples enter back into their old lives in which they switch back to the person they came onto the show with. Following living with a whole new person, forming a new bond and relationship, the couples are put to the task of making their real relationships work in another three-week trial, and this is when things heat up.

The complications and intensity arenever lost in this show, keeping you both interested and invested in each couple’s experience all the way to the final episode, which ends with the big reveal. Watch “The Ultimatum” to see if these couples, taking this daring leap exploiting their relationships and new connections, find love and happiness amidst the chaos, or if they crash and burn. Follow up the season with the drama-packed reunion filmed six months later to see where the couples are today. One thing is for sure, no one will be bored watching this new reality TV show.
