It’s almost here, with only about six weeks left of school, Summer is just a few sunny days away. As it is approaching, some have already started making some summer plans, but others may be a little stuck. Well, I am here to help. Here is a list of some things to do this summer with your friends.  

Dinner Date

The first thing on the summer 2023 bucket list is a dinner date but with a twist. For this dinner date, you and your friends would dress up as if you were going to a fancy restaurant. You would wear an elegant dress, a full face of makeup and styled hair. When your look is complete, instead of going somewhere fancy, you would simply go to a fast food restaurant or something of the sort. This is a great alternative if you and your friends want to feel like you are going out somewhere nice, but for a fraction of the cost. 

Star gazing 

It may sound cliche, but stargazing is a great way to spend your summer nights with friends. You can get a group of friends together and lay some blankets down in your backyard and let the stars do the rest. If you want to make it even more interesting, download an app that tells you where all the constellations are and see if you and your friends can spot them. A good app for this is Stellarium, which allows you to see all the constellations and satellites that are going over your location and you can even tap on stars to see their names and look up stars. There is a free and paid version, but getting the premium version is definitely worth the money. 

Fake Wedding 

Now this next idea is a little outlandish but bear with me. For this idea, you will have to get a decent (the more you have the better) amount of friends together to pull this off. You will begin by writing everyone’s name on a piece of paper and putting them in a hat or a bowl. Then you will draw roles. You will say a role out loud and then select a name that was put in a bowl/hat. Whichever person gets picked has to play that role. By the end, you should have someone playing the bride and groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen and any other roles that would be in a wedding. Set a date, and all that’s left to do is put on the wedding and let the chaos ensue. 

Movie marathon 

A good way to pass the time this summer would be a movie marathon. Within a group of friends, choose a favorite movie series whether it be Harry Potter, Marvel, or maybe even something a little more fun like all of the Barbie movies. Find a day or two that works for you and your friends, go buy a bunch of snacks and get ready to binge. 

There are many more things for you and your friends to do this summer, but these are just a few ideas. Nonetheless, this summer is bound to be a good one as long as you surround yourself with good friends and have a good time.
