Which white dress?

The dress code for the LHS graduation ceremony, for the girls, is a white dress and heels. I know right, why do we have to wear heels? The variety to choose from seems like it would be slim…but it is not. Figuring out what you think looks best under the gown based on the design and texture of the dress has to be the most difficult part. Picking and choosing from all the websites on the internet can be confusing but most of the same places that we girls shop for formal dresses are where we can shop for graduation dresses too. Now there are plenty of websites to choose from but I am going to list my top 5 and explain why. Hopefully, this helps with the decisions that need to be made in the near future.

  1. Meshki
    1. I love that Meshki has a lot of very simple dresses that would look good under the gown. Including silk, strapless and a lot of them have open backs which is a personal favorite of mine. A couple of drawbacks here are that the dresses can be pretty expensive. I would start by looking at the sale items on this website. There is not a huge variety of dresses here also. Even with the smaller number, the importance of quality could very easily outweigh the importance of the number of options.

  2. Scheels
    1. On the cheaper scaled dresses this store has its perks as well. With it being in Sioux Falls, you are actually able to try it on rather than pray that the dress you end up picking is your size and wait to try it on once it comes through the mail. Another benefit is that these dresses are more affordable and usually less than $80-$100.
  3. Amazon
    1. This is going to be the most affordable option. I could definitely get some hate over this but I never kick Amazon out of the competition when it comes to clothes. Not only are they affordable but they have a variety of options to choose from and even come with reviews and pictures of how the dresses look on real people that bought them. Which I believe comes in handy when picking out a dress.

  4. Lulus
    1. This is one of those websites that girls sometimes use to shop for formal dresses but it can be a multipurpose shopping website. The pricing on this website is average. Above Scheels and Amazon but below Meshki. Lulus prides their graduation dresses on the various types. They obtain long sleeves, short sleeves, one strap and strapless all in the color white. 4 pages of completely different white dresses make it really hard to choose.

  5. Windsor
    1. If you would like to try the dress on you could at Scheels. I would suggest going to The Empire Mall where a store like Windsor would come in clutch. They have many options for white mini dresses both online and in-store. The only piece of advice I would give you is that if you decide on sparkles expect to have them all over you the whole time!
