Driving pet peeves vary from person to person, although the most popular pet peeve amongst LHS students is not using a blinker (Artwork by Syri Castilleja)
Undoubtedly, the vast majority of drivers have experienced a form of road rage once or twice before. Risky activities, from tailgating the person ahead to swerving between lanes, generally annoy those nearby. A survey was sent to LHS students that asked respondents to provide driving pet peeves and grievances. Surprisingly, unity can be found within the LHS student body.
Syriana Castilleja is a senior at LHS and is a first-year staff writer on the Statesman. Castilleja spends time listening to music outside of school and planning her next concert or vacation. In the summer, she can be found hiking, tanning and cruising on the jet ski. Shopping obsessed, Castilleja works at a daycare and babysits often to keep up with the clothing bills. Castilleja plans on pursuing a career in early childhood education at USD.
