Mason Dean, Staff Writer
Mason Dean is a junior and first-year writer for the Statesman. When he is not cooking up in Ranked, Dean can be found dominating a number of different LHS activities. Whether he is dropping fives with Jaws or breaking an offensive-lineman’s ankles, Mason strives to achieve absolute perfection whilst maintaining a humble nature. As an avid member of the student council and outspoken advocate for the formation of a Fortnite club, Dean is always ready for a new adventure.
Naomi Jespersen, Editor-in-Chief
Naomi Jespersen is a junior, second-year staff member and Paper Editor-in-Chief for the Statesman. When she is not compulsively listening to NPR, Jespersen can be found playing LHS volleyball, working out, practicing piano or studying. Jespersen works as a math instructor, but is otherwise involved in student council, MNHS, SNHS, HOSA, and the writing center. Surprisingly, Jespersen lives each day guided by one Michael Scott quote: “Fool me once, strike one. Fool me twice, strike three” (not actually, but she hopes to someday).
Porter Stangeland, Staff Writer
Porter Stangeland is a senior and a second-year staff writer for the Statesman. He is involved in pole vaulting for the LHS track and field team, HOSA Medical Club, NHS, ENHS and Student Council. You can usually find him working on textile art projects, listening to Lorde, skiing, golfing, hanging out with friends and researching different forms of design and architecture.
