Ava Thompson, Staff Writer
Ava Thompson is a junior, first-year staff writer for the Statesman. When not at school, you can find her dancing or nannying a family she loves. Some of Thompson’s favorite things to do in her very little free time include hanging out with friends, shopping and, of course, traveling. Thompson is also involved in Best Buddies and the LHS dance team. Overall, she stays very busy enjoying life.
Katie Kroeze, Adviser
Katie Kroeze has been the Statesman adviser since 2013, started advising the Yearbook in 2017 and is a journalism junkie. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota, her master’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University and is currently obtaining a doctorate degree at USD. Kroeze has on several occasions used painful, horrible puns in headlines and in her daily conversations, but she is convinced that it is a sign of intelligence.
