Mason Dean, Photography Editor
Mason Dean is a senior, second-year staff writer and Photography Editor for the Statesman. When he is not cooking up in Ranked, Dean can be found dominating a number of different LHS activities. Whether he is dropping fives with Jaws or breaking an offensive lineman’s ankles, Mason strives to achieve absolute perfection whilst maintaining a humble nature. As an avid member of the student council and outspoken advocate for the formation of a Fortnite club, Dean is always ready for a new adventure.
Will Van Schepen, Staff Writer
Will Van Schepen is a senior and first-year staff writer for the Statesman at LHS. When not procrastinating about his seemingly endless pile of homework, he can be found working out or exploring the world, at least within a reasonable driving distance. At LHS, Van Schepen is involved in soccer, powerlifting, track, NHS, Best Buddies, SNHS, ENHS and MNHS.
Katie Kroeze, Adviser
Katie Kroeze has been the Statesman adviser since 2013, started advising the Yearbook in 2017 and is a journalism junkie. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota, her master’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University and is currently obtaining a doctorate degree at USD. Kroeze has on several occasions used painful, horrible puns in headlines and in her daily conversations, but she is convinced that it is a sign of intelligence.
