You need some Logic

Last year, the well-known rapper Logic released one of the biggest hits of his career with “1-800-273-8255,” which is the suicide hotline which reached number one on the billboards. Although a year has passed and many of his fans have been waiting for his newest hits. Thankfully, the wait is over because Logic has now released his entire mixtape named “Bobby Tarantino II.”

“Bobby Tarantino II”  is far different than his previous albums. On this mixtape, you see less of the sweet and caring logic and more of a rated R version of Logic. With this album, there is no preachy message raps, instead he added plenty of featured artists into his songs such as: “Indica Badu” featuring Wiz Khalifa, “Everyday” featuring Marshmello and “State of Emergency” featuring 2 Chainz. With every artist, they find a way to apply their everyday lives into their songs. When Logic relates to himself in his songs, it makes his fans feel personally involved creating a deep vibe.

His song “Yuck” is a song aimed towards an unspecified hater, “Everyday” proves what the rapper is truly here for and that each day he works hard. Logic also sings in many of his songs about overcoming his doubt as making it as a rapper but tells his fans to never give up because look where he is now. His songs on this mixtape are not made to impress his fans but to be real and relatable.

“Logic’s mixtape is very different than the album that he released last year except I still love listening to what he has to put out there,” junior Emily Shank said. “With some of his new songs, I can relate to what is being heard and it makes me enjoy his music so much more.”

If rap is the type of style being enjoyed, then take a listen at Logic’s new mixtape. It is real and relatable and has artists that many enjoy to listen to as well. It is no surprise that this mixtape and his songs are making it to number one on the billboard again, that just shows how much talent and entertainment he brings to his music.
