We have all laid in bed on a Friday night scrolling through websites like Buzzfeed to find out insignificant, yet all-consuming facts about ourselves like which character we are from Riverdale. These fascinating quizzes are a great way to fill time and cure boredom. However, the Enneagram personality test is much more telling than a simple late-night curiosity.
The Enneagram has been known for being able to highlight the specific personality traits of a person. Knowing these particular characteristics contributes to a better understanding of a person’s limitations and areas for maturation. Many use this test as a tool to have on their journey to personal growth. The Enneagram is used to recognize which of the nine interconnected personality traits best suits one’s psyche. Knowing these traits allows for people to create more fulfilling relationships and build on their knowledge of their own strengths and weaknesses. Within each segment of the test, the questions dive further into the categories of instinct, intuition and intellect. This test offers the idea that everyone is born with a natural gift. By creating a form of identity within the test, one is able to adequately modify their presence based on their knowledge of their personality.
