    St Patricks day is around the corner! With the exciting festivities building up, here are some upcoming events taking place in downtown Sioux Falls.

     

    LUCK Art Exhibit 

    When

    March 2 – 23, 2024

    10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

    Where:

    Serendipity Studio Gallery & Gifts

    230 S Phillips Avenue, Ste 204

    The LUCK art exhibit is a collection of art that is currently on display. Each individual who walks through the exhibit has a chance to vote for the best piece of art. The artist with the most votes will receive a cash prize. 

     

    Shamrock Big Band Dance

    When: 

    March 8, 2024

    6:45 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

    Where: 

    El Riad Shrine

    510 S Phillips Avenue

    The El Riad Shrine Dance Club holds a big band dance with a live band who plays a variety of danceable music. A dance lesson will start at 6:45 & the band will start at 7:30.

     

    Irish Celebration

    When:

    March 12, 2024

    6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

    Where:

    Plum’s Cooking Company

    401 E 8th Street, Ste 107

    Chefs are able to learn about the unique flavors and techniques used in Irish Cuisine with the help ofChef Lizzie Stewart.

     

    44th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade

    When:

    March 16, 2024

    2p.m.

    Where:

    Phillips Avenue, between 13th-5th Street

    The traditional painting of the shamrock will take place at 11 a.m. in front of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls, 100 S Phillips Avenue. The event will be public and Phillips Avenue will be closed at 10:45 a.m. between 9th and 10th Streets.

    The parade takes off from Phillips Avenue and 13th Street at 2 p.m. and ends around 5th Street. Streets adjacent to the route are closed at 1:30 p.m. and parking is not allowed on Phillips Avenue starting late Saturday morning. The parade will begin staging at 12:30 p.m. on Main and Dakota Avenues between 11th and 13th Streets.
