The LHS parking lot is ridiculously small and has very little parking space available as is. Pulling up to school late is simply not an option because the tiny little motorcycles each need one whole spot. Fighting for a parking space daily is not practical, but what other option is there? Between the people who park absolutely horribly and the limited parking spots, the LHS lot is enough to ruin a person’s day. More specifically, those who drive two-wheeled vehicles have the capability to devastate their peer’s early in the morning.
When driving up and down each lane frantically searching for an available space, people might think to themselves that they found one. Incorrect, a dirt bike is there hoarding one entire spot. So, the search continues, stuck driving up and down the lanes yet again. Look to the left and of course, a bike of some sort is parked happily in the middle of a space. Eyes begin to play tricks when hectically scanning for an open space. Grabbing the driver’s attention just to make a desperate student upset because the lane really is not open. These abnormally small transportation devices should not be allowed in the LHS student parking lot.
So, how should this problem be solved? Great question. These unnecessary bikes should consider sharing a spot with another bike driver. This could be done by simply drawing a line down a parking space. There is no reason for five-plus areas to be taken by one teeny tiny bike. Moreover, the drivers should consider parking on the grass in front of the LHS building. This way no one would be deceived into thinking a spot is open when it really just has a small motorcycle. Bike drivers would greatly benefit from this idea because they are so close to the front doors. Bikes are great in any other circumstance, but those who drive such should consider the ideas mentioned above.
Now that all the facts have been looked over, hopefully those individuals who drive a two-wheeled vehicle have taken the hint. To reiterate said hint, stop parking in the LHS lot or at least be mindful when doing so. Not only does it cause students to be late, but it also causes a headache every single time an LHS goer tries parking at school. No one wants to waste their energy and gas looking for a place to leave their car.
