Avery Nelson, Staff Writer
Avery Nelson is a senior and second-year staff writer for the Statesman. When she is not writing for the Statesman, she spends most of her time playing soccer for DASC 03 girls or the LHS girls varsity team. Planning to continue her soccer and academic career at Augustana University, Nelson aspires to be an anesthesiologist to pay for her extensive shoe collection. In the rare case that she is not on the field, Nelson can be found participating in SALSA, National Honor Society and YPC. She has the biggest pet peeve for slow walkers, a never-ending social battery and a love for blasting Mac Miller.
